The VS482 Dual View HDMI switch supports four HDMI video input sources and two mirrored HDMI output displays. The VS482 allows users to switch easily between up to four HDMI A/V sources that are connected to up to two allotted HDMI displays. For both A/V installers and home theater enthusiasts alike, the VS482 offers an easy-to-use solution to route HDMI signals between high-definition displays and HDMI-equipped sources such as Blu-ray players, game consoles and cable/satellite appliances.

ATEN announced this month that the following products from its SOHO line have achieved NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ Ready certification: CS1782A/CS1784A and CS1642/CS1644. This certification signifies that these products are fully compatible with 3D Vision software and active-shutter 3D glasses, ensuring a high-quality 3D application experience for ATEN customers.

These KVMs are now capable of supporting full, powerful 3D visual effects. Home users, such as avid gamers, as well as professionals, including graphic designers and multimedia professionals, benefit from a more flexible and immersive 3D environment.

There’s a misconception permeating the IT industry that the server market is shrinking based on the logic that technological advances have reduced the amount of space needed for servers. The assumed conclusion often drawn is that KVM switches fall in demand as fewer servers are needed to meet IT needs. Last month, ATEN introduced two new products ideal for the government market including the industry’s first lightweight LCD console. The new CL3000N PS/2- USB LCD Console, offers a simpler installation experience versus standard LCD consoles, allowing a single person to carry out a rack install. The unit’s unique lightweight form factor is also useful in government installations where military vehicles must comply with weight limitations.

ATEN also debuted new security-reinforced desktop KVM switches designed specifically for government and military environments where security is paramount. The new CS1182 and CS1184, two- and four-port DVI-based KVM switches housed in a rugged metal enclosure, ensure data integrity when switching between computers operating on different secure networks. The CS1182/CS1184 units are NIAP-certified which complies with the Common Criteria EAL2+ for Peripheral Sharing Switch (PSS) Human Interface Devices Protection Profile v2.1.

Finally, ATEN launched industry-first 3D-enabled KVM switches. The new two- and four-port USB Dual Link DVI KVMP™ (CS1782A/CS1784A) switches support the transmission of 3D video signals from various sources to a 3D-capable 120Hz LCD monitor and feature a USB 2.0 hub for flexible extension of peripherals (KVMP). These new DVI-based KVM switches have achieved NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ Ready certification, which signifies that these products are fully compatible with 3D Vision software and active-shutter 3D glasses, thereby providing ATEN customers with the assurance of high-quality 3D experiences.
