Expanding upon the company’s already extensive line of space-saving console extenders, ATEN has launched this month new DVI- and USB-based KVM extenders. The CE600/CE602 KVM Extenders, utilizing CAT5e cabling, allow users to control a server, computer or KVM switch from a remote console (USB keyboard, monitor and mouse).
The CE600/CE602 extenders are ideal for manufacturing, security, healthcare and more. In industrial environments, for example, users can access and configure computers located in hazardous environments from a remote, safe location. The new KVM extenders are also applicable in retail stores and restaurants where touchscreen kiosks and barcode scanners can be accessed using the units’ built-in RS-232 serial port.
